This book comes from my teacher heart to teachers around the world.
The first half of my teaching career was so overwhelming and frustrating to me. It was nothing as I had imagined when I used to play school all summer long in my backyard as a child. I feel that I was called to be a teacher, but when I got my first classroom things went downhill- FAST.
After several years and failed attempts to work myself into feeling better, I decided to stop the madness. I knew if I was going to stay in the profession I was called to I had to make a change. I decided to go inside of myself and figure out how to make what I believed was right and wonderful about teaching mesh with all the crud I was dealing with on a daily basis in my classroom.
Bingo! This is where the answers were. The truth was inside the whole time. After teaching the second half of my career being authentically, joyfully, successfully me I knew I had to share how the steps I used to make this transformation with teachers all over the world.
You are not alone, everyone feels the way you do. Take my book, my life, my experience, these steps and move yourself back to the joy in teaching you dreamed of when you first knew you wanted to be a teacher.

Wynn Godbold is an author, speaker, consultant, and expert in joyful teaching. She is passionate about empowering educators to release their feelings of overwhelm and frustration and find the balance they need to flourish in their calling.
Her teacher retreats are known to empower teachers to love their lives. Teachers worldwide experience personal growth through the products and packages she offers on line.
In June of 2012, Wynn kick started the International Academy of Bee Sharp Teachers. Wynn is Nationally Board Certified in Reading and the Language Arts. She has certifications in Education Administration, Elementary and Early Childhood Education. In addition to running Bee Sharp, she consults for the McGraw Hill Education Group and serves on the Educational Team at Page Turner Adventures.
Wynn lives in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with her husband Rett and their two boys: Matthew and Cooper. They all enjoy the family dog JR and their talkative cat, Spooky.
